Oslo City Centre and Airport Hotels: Additional Hotels
TRAVEL
Airport: Book your international flight into Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL).
Ground Transportation: The most convenient and quickest transfer from the airport to the hotel is the Airport Express train. It is a 12-minute ride to Lillestrøm, and then a 5-minute walk to the hotel. Oslo Gardermoen Airport Station is located downstairs in the Arrivals hall. Ticket price one-way is NOK 180 (approximately $18 USD). Train departure times are 10, 30 and 50 past the hour. Visit Flytoget for more details.
Airport taxis are also available at the base price of NOK 730 (approximately $75 USD). There are additional fees for weekend transfers and overtime. The drive to the hotel is approximately 30-45 minutes.
Passport & Visa Requirements: Norway is party to the Schengen Agreement. Visitors from the Schengen countries do not need to show a passport or visa when entering Norway. You may still be asked to identify yourself at some point during your trip, so it is highly recommended to carry a valid passport or national ID card with you. Citizens of some countries outside the EU/EEA must apply for a visitor's visa. You can easily check if this is required for you, and what rules apply to your country here.
CANCELLATION & TRAVEL INSURANCE
We recommend purchasing travel insurance (Such as Travel Guard) which would cover you in the event you need to cancel for any reason.
If Covid-19 protocols interfere (for example destination is under lockdown), the Conference will be rescheduled for a later date when travel is possible again. If this occurs, you will have the option to transfer your registration fee and any hotel bookings towards the future Conference dates or you will be receiving a full refund. No refund is given if the participant is contracting the virus and can’t attend the Conference in which case travel insurance would most likely cover any losses depending on the travel insurer’s policy. It is important to confirm with the travel insurance provider that Covid-19 related issues are covered and to what extent.
We may cancel the Conference at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability, or other external events, it is not viable for us to operate the planned itinerary. In circumstances where the cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control, refunds will be less any unrecoverable costs. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred due to your booking, including but not limited to visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess, or non-refundable flights.
